How I Use AI in My Business Without Losing Authenticity, Connection or Heart

These days, AI is everywhere and whilst so many people have fully embraced it, others - myself included - have felt unsure about bringing it into our businesses (and our lives!) because we value the simplicity, honesty and humanness of doing things the old fashioned way.

That said, in 2026 I have been finding ways to start using ChatGPT as a solopreneur that still feel aligned with my values. In this post, I want to share them with you in case you are also stuck between wanting to try it out but feeling like a fraud by bringing AI into your heart-led business.

Improving Searchability

One of the ways I’ve started to gently make use of AI, is to help me optimise my website and improve searchability.

From time to time, I will update elements of my website and when I do, I find it useful to have ChatGPT review it and suggest small edits that would help my ideal clients find my content more easily. It might be tweaks to wording, adding more keywords or switching around the layout.

These small changes can make a big difference to how your website ranks in search engines and how easy it is for people to discover you and AI can be really helpful for pointing them out.

For me, the goal isn’t to grow my business as quickly as possible or get a certain number of views or sales, rather to make it as simple as possible for the people who need my help - introverted, HSP solopreneurs & creatives - to find me. This is where working to improve searchability is really valuable.

Reviewing Blog Posts

Similarly, one of my favourite uses of AI in my small business is asking it to refine my blog posts before I hit publish.

Now, I want to be clear that I personally don’t use AI to write my content for me (writing is my favourite part of my business and I want my readers to actually hear from me, not a computer).

This is one of the key ways that my brand remains authentic, connected and heart-led, as my audience can trust that everything they read from me has been crafted by me. I also don’t use AI to edit my emails or newsletters because it’s important to me that they feel like a genuine, unfiltered conversation from one sensitive soul to another.

What I do instead is write a blog post, paste it into ChatGPT and ask it to check for spelling & grammar errors and also to suggest any small upgrades that make the post more searchable or in line with the things my clients are looking for.

For instance, if I write a post on “growing your business without social media as an introvert”, AI may recommend rewording the title to “marketing your business without social media as an introvert” because it makes more sense for the post or is a more popular search term amongst my ideal audience.

Having that final review of my writing helps me to package up my thoughts, guidance and ideas in a slightly more polished and valuable way. Plus it increases the chance of my work getting in front of the right people, if it aligns nicely with what they’re actively searching for.

Simplifying Complex Topics

Something else I use AI for as a business owner is making sense of complex topics like tax rules and technical requirements.

If there’s a task that I don’t fully understand, I find it much easier to ask ChatGPT to break it down for me than to spend an hour trawling different articles and forums looking for advice.

Of course, AI doesn’t replace official guidance or legal advice but it is great for simplifying confusing topics.

For instance, I was recently dealing with a complex technical fault behind the scenes of my website that meant I couldn’t receive any emails and people couldn’t find my site. Without AI giving me a step by step process of how to fix the problem, I would still be going round in circles online, trying to make sense of it all!

This approach saves me so much time that can then be repurposed into the creative or connection based work I love so much - like writing emails to you guys, creating new valuable content to help you or supporting my clients.

AI as a Search Engine

Finally, something that I am learning more and more about is helping AI tools like ChatGPT find, search and understand my content and who it’s for. So many people are turning to platforms like these rather than search engines and so as well as optimising your content for Google ranking, it’s becoming more valuable to also factor AI platforms into the mix as well.

For me, this is still very much a work in progress and I haven’t figured it all out yet but I am focusing on making every piece of content clear, well formatted, keyword rich and centered around one distinct topic.

These little tweaks help AI tools to recommend your content in response to your ideal client’s searches, giving you even more opportunity to show up in the right conversations.

Final Thoughts

I truly value building a business slowly and with intention, so for me AI is now a helpful sidekick that allows me to save time on the more mundane tasks and focus on pouring my energy into my writing, creativity and working with clients.

Personally, I don’t intend to have AI running the show and as a fellow sensitive solopreneur, I’m sure you feel the same. That said, if you’ve been curious about bringing AI tools into your small business without losing your authenticity or heart then perhaps this post has given you a few ideas on where to start.

Using tools like ChatGPT strategically can free up time, energy and brain power for the more value-adding aspects of your work and as long as your use of it feels aligned, then it can be a useful resource in your introvert-friendly business.
